Did I spell it correctly? 'Relatively' I mean? I was typing up something earlier today and tried using that word to no avail, thanks to nifty SPELLCHECK that reminded me that I was spelling it incorrectly.
It's going to be a very busy upcoming week. Tomorrow I was going to meet with my brother about the website. Need to check in with him quick since I just found out that he will be flying last-minute overseas on Tuesday. Which, of course, may mean that the meeting tomorrow may be canceled (which may be good, since it's a very, very long drive to Boston from south Conn. Yah! In the apparently upcoming rainstorm! Yah!)
Sunday: Tax appt. It'll go relatively quickly, with an ensuing shopping spree for a plum colored bathrobe (long story). Tuesday concert. Wed. . . there is something. Yikes! Dentist apptointment on Thursday. Friday is NYCC (New York Comic Con), and I get in extra early with my Super (with a capital S) VIP pass. Not for the comics, fantasy clad warriors, or bedazzling storm troopers. Only going to check a few booths and then hit the galleries to see what's new, head to friend kHyal's (with a capital H) for FiZz launch party. Saturday drop off the art (1.5 hour drive), check out galleries in area. Sunday sleep. Rest. Play with the cats.

Bang. Ouch.
I feel like I'm hitting a wall. I need a break.
I have a little over a week to finish the current painting for the group show coming up. I also started another piece that I was inking on watercolor paper and was almost complete, till I botched it last night.
It may be exhaustion, tiredness, all that stuff. I think it's because I've been busting my butt for the past two weeks and my mind is telling me to take a break.
It was such a stupid thing too. It's something that in a right state of mind I would have never done. A big glob of green where there really shouldn't have been any globs. Or greens. Or colors for that matter.
Never say never, as I've learned the hard way in the past.
Maybe doing a little of nothing today will help.

kissmunch.
Arghh! I recently picked up the most recent issue of Juxtapoz and it made me very upset. The cover....
I'm not ready to talk about it and I need to do more research.... but I do think the cover artist, Parra, is ripping off the style of an actual artist whose work I've seen before. It's okay to successfully reinvent a style/movement and make it your own (Biskup), but to not depart from another artist's style at all??
Like I said, I need to dig deeper...

No "bad" words.
Wow. I'm getting @%#! crazy here! I'm posting again!
When No Country for Old Men won an Oscar for Best Picture, I needed at least to see that in a theater. So, may someone please explain it to me? Why did it win Best Picture? And is there some secret hidden meaning I'm not getting?
Flipping through my sketch book, I see that I have many things that are unfinished. Have I ever finished anything?
I dunno. I can't remember.
How cool would it be if everyone had a soundtrack accompanying them, but as soon as they came into contact with another person, both would be adjusting to a singular score that carried the moment they were currently in.
