Warship (study)
Ink with gold acrylic detail, on stained Canson 140 lb Coldpress
One of the pieces I recently finished, this was the original color study for the larger version in acrylic. It's relatively small at 7" x 8.5", and will be floated in a frame so that the edges of the paper are visible. I've included closeup details below (click on an image to see a slightly larger version).
Wow!! Me likey!! That looks fantastic. I love the close up details. The torn edges look great against that black background. Show more! Show more!
ReplyDeleteAwesome colours and textures! :)
ReplyDeleteOnce again this is beautiful. Is it a consideration of the 'figurehead' or a meditation on that idea or is it just something that grew within itself as you worked?
ReplyDeletevery nice, i love the affects you get in your watercolors.
ReplyDeleteScott,
ReplyDeleteI think it is ink and not watercolor. Which, to me makes the effects to which you refer all the more impressive. Julita, you really fantastic work!
